About the Role

 

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Coordinator to drive revenue growth and strengthen connections with our diverse audiences at Seattle Children's Theatre. Reporting to the Associate Director of Sales, this role will empower our sales by developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives, streamlining processes, and optimizing ticket sales across all channels. The ideal candidate will combine data-driven sales expertise with a passion for youth theatre, helping us fulfill our mission of transforming young lives through exceptional theatre experiences. Working closely with development, education, and front-of-house teams, you will create and maintain sales tools and training resources that enable our staff to effectively connect with schools, families, and community partners. This collaborative position will support the Associate Director of Sales in developing and executing strategies to maximize ticket revenue while maintaining our commitment to accessibility and community engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

 

·         Coordinate and process group ticket sales (in Tessitura) for school performances, youth organizations, and community groups, from initial outreach to follow-up after the visit, providing excellent customer service throughout. 

·         Coordinate with front-of-house staff, greet schools, and assist with any adjustments to bookings. 

·         Manage the group sales calendar and seating arrangements for main stage productions 

·         Serve as primary contact for school booking inquiries and maintain relationships with education partners 

·         Work with the Education and Engagement teams to offer optional workshops that enhance the field trip experience, helping to retain and grow our educator partnerships year over year. 

·         Process ticket orders and reservations through our ticketing system 

·         Generate daily sales reports and maintain accurate sales records 

·         Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person 

·         Support front-of-house operations during performances as needed 

·         Collaborate with marketing team on sales promotions and audience development initiatives 

·         Assist with special events and community engagement programs 

 

Who We’re Looking For:

·         Two years’s  experience in arts administration, theatre, business, or related field 

·         Customer service experience, ideally within a nonprofit or arts environment 

·         Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems 

·         Experience with ticketing software (Tessitura is a plus) 

·         Ability to work some evenings and weekends during performance seasons 

·         Previous experience in performing arts or nonprofit environment 

·         Knowledge of Seattle-area education system and youth programs 

·         Experience working with diverse communities
