Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Manager supports Seattle Children’s Theatre’s (SCT) Marketing team in advancing public awareness of SCT’s productions, programs, and initiatives. This position collaborates with the entire organization to execute impactful campaigns, with a focus on email marketing, website maintenance, and campaign tracking.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in digital marketing fundamentals with a passion for the arts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

Email Marketing:

  •  Plan, design, and deploy branded email campaigns via Wordfly.
  • Manage segmentation, personalization, and automation strategies to improve open and click rates.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and communication laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, TCPA).

Website Management:

  • Lead website strategy, roadmap, and enhancements in line with SCT’s marketing and organizational goals.
  • Manage content updates, user experience improvements, and SEO initiatives.
  • Collaborate with design team to produce web content that is engaging, brand-aligned, and accessible.
  • Track website performance using Google Analytics and other tools; report key insights to stakeholders.

Paid Digital Advertising (Meta & Google):

  • Develop and manage paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads.
  • Set targeting, budgets, creative, and A/B tests to maximize ROI and ticket sales.
  • Monitor performance, optimize spend, and deliver campaign reports to internal teams.
  • Coordinate with external media partners as needed

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • A deep commitment to theatre, young people, and Seattle Children's Theatre's (SCT) mission of reaching all people in our community. 
  • Bachelor's degree or 3-6 years’ relevant experience a related field.
  • Strong desire to take initiative as a forward-thinking member of the Marketing team.
  •  Strong understanding of marketing concepts including digital marketing, communications & public relations, campaigns, sales, and promotions.
  • Knowledge of digital campaign tools including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Google Analytics
  • Collaborative skills and success working with various constituents.
  • Experience with CRM/email marketing platforms (Wordfly, Tessitura, or similar).
  • Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), SEO fundamentals, and A/B testing
  • Excellent team player with ability to complete tasks independently.

Physical Requirements: 

·         Sitting/Standing: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasional periods of standing or walking.

·         Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for typing, handling papers, and other office-related tasks. 

·         Visual/Auditory Requirements: Ability to read detailed information, see a computer screen, and hear spoken conversations over the phone and in person. 

·         Mobility: Ability to move around the office to interact with staff, access files, and attend meetings. 

Work Environment: 

·         The primary work location is 201 Thomas St in Downtown Seattle. Not eligible for remote work.

·         Environment: Typical office environment with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. 

·         Noise Level: Generally quiet to moderate. 

 

Salary & Schedule:

Digital Marketing Manager is a grade 25, regular, full-time, non-exempt, hourly position. Salary range is $31.68 - $31.68/hour. Occasional evenings and weekends as required by the role. May occasionally support marketing and sales events, which include Teacher Previews, Sneak Peek, Opening Nights, etc. Occasional evenings and weekends.

 

To strengthen structural pay equity, SCT practices negotiation-free pay processes with all current and potential staff members. Positions are graded in accordance with the scope and range of “Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications” listed in the job description. Salaries for grade levels are determined by market via 3<sup>rd</sup> party compensation study.
