Announcing General Auditions for Seattle Children’s Theatre's 2024-2025 Season. 

About SCT:

Since its inception in 1975, the Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT), has served more than 4 million children through professional theatre and arts education in the Puget Sound region and beyond. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Memorize & perform theatrical piece as directed
  • Arrive promptly for all rehearsals & performances

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited collegiate performance program

              OR

  • At least 3 professional acting credits

Physical Requirements & Work Environment: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those an individual must meet in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. We will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

  • Ability to perform as directed.
  • Clearances/background checks will be conducted.
  • We require all staff to be up-to-date on their Covid-19 vaccinations.

Salary & Schedule: 

This is a temporary contract position paying $745-$890/week. Availability to attend daytime rehearsals/performances as well as weekend and evening performances. 

Instructions & Information for General Auditions for the 2023-2024 Season:

  • Auditions will be held in person at SCT April 29th through May 2nd, 2024 from 11am - 4pm.  Auditions will be by appointment.
  • If you have not auditioned at SCT in the past two years or are new to town, we’d love to see you.  AEA members who wish to be seen again are welcome.
  • An accompanist will be provided, please do not plan accompany yourself or sing a cappella. 
  • Auditions are for actors age 18+.
  • Please be sure your submission includes:
    • Headshot & Resume: these will be used for scheduling purposes only.
      • If you are a member of Actors' Equity and wish to submit but do not wish to share your headshot and resume, please e-mail auditions@sct.org to apply.
    • Your correct email address – appointments and all communication will be via email.
  • Please prepare one monologue and, should you elect to sing, 16-24 bars of a song. There will be a piano accompanist available.  If you elect to sing, please bring the sheet music for your song in the correct key, please do not plan to accompany yourself or sing a cappella. 
  • Appointments and all audition information will be sent via email.
  • There are limited time slots available; assignments will be made in the order in which headshots/resumes are received, with priority to AEA members. If you are a member of AEA, please include that information in your submitted materials to assure priority scheduling.
